Here in Henderson County, we are a small rural county, so the school board has a very small influence on what goes on in the district. The board has a pretty big influence on what the superintendent does, but the board doesn’t have the ability to make the superintendent’s decisions, so what that means is that they are responsible for the district’s education.
This is especially true when it comes to the teacher-evaluation process. The board of education, also referred to as the board of education commission, evaluates teachers and monitors the performance of teachers. The board of education is made of two people in Henderson County, a superintendent and a superintendent’s assistant. The first step in evaluating a teacher is to interview the teacher, who will be the person that will be evaluating the teacher.
The interview is where the board of education gets to know a teacher well enough to be able to look into her teaching record and see if she can be judged on her academic knowledge. After the interview, the superintendent and assistant make recommendations to the board of education, which are then voted on by the board of education. A teacher that isn’t satisfied with the board of education’s recommendation may appeal the teacher’s case to the Henderson County School Board.
I’m not a big fan of the board of education because I think it puts too much emphasis on the teacher’s knowledge and skills when she isnt actually evaluating the student. The board of education also puts too much emphasis on the teacher’s social life, which is a huge red flag for me.
I think the board of education should be replaced with the Henderson County School Board. I think its unfair that teachers can only have one job, and that is to teach children. If teachers are given more job variety, then I think this would be a great thing.
The board of education is supposed to be a place where every child can be heard and every child is treated with respect. The board of education is a place where the voices of teachers and parents are heard. But I think the board of education has a lot to answer for, because in its current form the board can’t take a true look at the teachers’ lives. The board of education has an elected board of three adults, two elected by voters and one appointed by the school board.
One of the things the board of education does is give the employees an annual salary, and teachers a yearly salary increase. I think this means they have a lot of incentives to keep teachers happy. They also control where teachers can go, how much they can tell teachers, and what they can tell teachers about their pensions. I’m not sure how much of a role the board of education has in determining what teachers are going to teach in school, but that’s a big one.
The board of education has an overall influence on the school system in Henderson, Tennessee, but this is generally in the nature of a tiered system. The board of education is basically a super board, and gets to decide what teachers will teach, how many teachers will teach what classes, and how many classes they all will teach. The board of education also decides what school systems will get which departments, and how many schools they will operate.
It would appear that the board of education is the one district that has been able to grow at a steady rate without the county government. I could be wrong, but considering that Henderson county is a rural, blue-collar area with a large number of retirees and a large number of low-income families, I would think that the board of education has a lot of sway over Henderson.
The board of education also decides which schools get which departments. They are very picky. They will only approve schools if they feel the school district has grown into the school district. If a school district grows into the district it is approved for (like Henderson) then the school district can get departments.
