In the past, horror games were just a novelty item. I played them in my bedroom or my den where I could watch tv but nothing else. That changed when I moved into a new house and was told the house was haunted. I had never heard of such a thing before, and decided if I wanted to have my horror game in my house then I would have to find a way to convince the other people in my life that it was real.
I can imagine many people were skeptical, but after a few months in my new home and with a few friends, we were all shocked at how real it felt in our house. I don’t mean it was some sort of “hallucinating” sense. I mean it felt like a genuine presence, not only felt real but was actually scary. We all felt a little scared in our houses at night.
The game was already in development for Xbox One, so the fact that it was coming to a console with a bigger screen really added to the experience. The thing I love most about the game was the fact that I could feel it in my house, but a lot of the other people in my life had no idea it was actually happening. We were all terrified at night, but also just really excited to be playing a really scary game.
