This is not to say that the end of a game is always a good time for the players. In fact, a late-game timeout is often a good thing because coaches can use it to calm down players who are getting too excited. But that doesn’t mean the end of a game is always a good time for the coaches and players.

So in a game with five games and two timeouts, you can see that its 11:10 a.m. The game is officially over at about five minutes after the two-minute warning. That means coaches and players will have been in the locker room for a few minutes by then.
It also means the game is a bit later. The scoreboard shows that the game is still going on at 9:35. So in other words, the game is still over. If you want to know the length of a football game, just look to the scoreboard.
I’m not saying a game shouldn’t have 1110 a.m. start. I’m just saying it gives you a little bit more time to figure out if there’s any actual football going on. Of course, you can’t really know the length of a game if it lasts only 1110 seconds.
