I am a big fan of video games. I am not a sports fan. I love the sense of achievement and the competitive aspect. I am still a big fan of the games themselves. The reason I am not a sports fan is because video games don’t involve physical exertion.
Of course, I am not saying most video games are terrible, but the idea of playing a game for hours with the expectation of getting a trophy or winning in a game at the end is not a good one because you don’t get trophies for winning games. I have to hand it to the people who design video games: they know how to make a game that appeals to a wide variety of gamers. In this case, a wide variety of gamers.
The first thing I thought of when I saw the trailer for Hangar 18 was that I wish the game designers had made it more like Call of Duty or something. It looks like a very similar game, but I guess I was expecting the first game to be more like the original Halo or something. The idea that players could control a game with a mouse and keyboard is something I would like to see more of in the future.
