I think he was probably referring to the golfing simulator golfing game he used to play in middle school. I was just making my own analogy.
At least in the game that my son played, you had to play with a club to get to the point where you had to hit the ball. In gaming, you just shoot the ball. But what about on a golf course? Well, there you’re on a golf course. There’s a golf course. You have only one club, and it’s your swing that determines whether you hit the ball or not.
Well it’s nice to get a good workout, but golf games can be a bit tedious. And it would probably take a lot for me to start trying to hit the ball on a golf course.
In this case, the game just takes you from the point where you can shoot the ball to where you have to hit it.
