All veneered particle board is done by hand – it’s not a machine. All the glues and epoxy we use in the shop are applied manually, and the final product is a unique, hand-made, and hand-finished product. This is the most affordable, lowest-maintenance way to achieve a certain look, and it’s what we do.

The problem with that is that the materials are so cheap and the labor is cheap and the veneers are so inexpensive that they quickly wear out. In fact, veneers that are veneers that are not of high quality are actually less durable than other materials, because they are harder to clean and chip and damage, so you end up with a lot of veneer left over that you have to replace.
In this new trailer we’re introduced to the idea of veneering because it’s an inexpensive way to make a very high quality flooring material. It’s very hard to find the right veneers, and if you do, the cost of getting it right is so expensive that you end up with a bunch of cheap veneers that aren’t durable. But in Deathloop, because veneers are actually very durable, it’s hard to find the right ones.
The question is how bad do you have to be? There are two ways that veneering can be bad. One is by accident. The other is when you know that something is wrong. But the problem is when you take something and put it on something else that you know isnt right, it can ruin the whole design. But in Deathloop, because it isnt a hard floor, its hard to find the right veneers.
