It is true that video games can be a distraction from other activities, but they can also draw us in with their depth and complexity.
Games may not always be fun, but they can also be an art form of their own. They can be so rewarding that you find that you can’t function without them. You can’t go to your other activities with your friends without games. You can’t go to your other activities with your friends without games. You can’t go to your other activities with your friends when you don’t have games nearby. And you can’t have your friends around to play games when you need to.
I find myself going back and forth between games and other things that I used to play with my friends. They’re still good friends, but they may have forgotten about me. It’s not always fun, and sometimes I think they’re just being lazy. But it’s also important to remember that games are not for everyone. Most of us can’t just go out and play games all day. We need to find ways to combine them with other activities.

For example, if a game is designed to keep you buying in-game upgrades, you’re probably not really engaging in that game if you’re not thinking about how you’re spending your time.
The most important aspect of gamification is that it takes away the need for you to think about what youre doing or not doing. If a game is designed to make you buy things, or get things you dont want/need, you will probably be less engaged with it, and will probably go back to your own game. If a game is designed to keep you playing, youll probably be more engaged.
Of course, this also means that gamification will distract you from the real world, and you become a lot more likely to keep going back to your old games. So the next time you play your favorite game, maybe think about the other games you have, or perhaps about your life, because, let’s face it, most of us have lots of lives to play.
The biggest draw of games is the idea that there is a game for everyone. You might not be looking for games but you should look for them in the world of gaming. There are games that are designed specifically for children, and there are games that are designed for adults. There are games that are designed to entertain you, and there are games that are designed to make you think. Games are designed to make you think, and this is why they are so pervasive.
