I don’t know about you, but I don’t really have any interest in playing video games. The reason behind this is that I’m not much of a video gamer, yet the games I do play are of the mind-altering type. I mean the ones I have played, like Grand Theft Auto, are just mind-altering in the best way possible.
I guess that’s just it. I really don’t care about video games. I do like them though and it’s just that I hate games that involve violence, or sex, or anything that’s considered gross by most people. And this is why I’m trying to get myself more into a serious video game. I’ve always been a video game fan, but I’ve always had a hard time getting into them and I’m starting to realize that I actually want to get into them.
Like most of the other video game trailers we’ve seen this month, Deathloop’s video game is pure escapism.
That being said, I think it’s pretty entertaining and worth checking out on its own. I actually liked the trailer a lot more than my own. It’s not just the “video game” part, but there are some really good graphics, some really cool powers, and some really cool fashion choices. It also has a good story and the character Colt Vahn is a really fun protagonist. I’m not sure if the video game part is the most important part though.
Although I really like the video game part, I think the main thing is its escapism. I think it is just the most fun part of a game, and it makes sense that Deathloop would be a fun game. A lot of the other trailers are just like any other game trailer, but it doesn’t feel as escapist as Deathloops does. I think that is a big part of why I like it.
I think a lot of people have the impression that games can’t be escapist, because of all the things that are escapist. I agree with you about video games being escapist, but I think the fact that games can be escapist doesn’t mean that it is.
